Purpose of this disclaimer
This disclaimer applies to information published by Green Planet Makers Ltd about retrofit carbon participation, environmental outcomes, carbon credits, buyers, offtakers, market access, income and payments.
It should be read together with the Website Terms, Privacy Notice and any separate participation or commercial agreement.
GPM’s role
Green Planet Makers supports carbon origination, installer participation, evidence workflows, portfolio organisation, submission coordination, market access and participant reporting.
GPM does not install retrofit measures and does not present itself as the independent validator or verifier unless it is separately and appropriately accredited for a specific function.
No guarantee of eligibility
The inclusion of a measure, project type or portfolio on this website does not confirm that any installation will qualify.
Eligibility may depend on installation and crediting dates, property type, geography, technical specifications, baseline conditions, evidence quality, permissions, environmental-rights ownership, funding arrangements, additionality, methodology rules, previous claims and other programme requirements.
No guarantee of validation, verification or issuance
A positive initial assessment does not guarantee acceptance by a programme, methodology provider, validator, verifier, registry or other independent body.
Further evidence, corrections, monitoring, sampling, site access or changes may be required. The final volume issued may be lower than an early estimate, and no credits may be issued.
Estimates and illustrations
Any estimate of emissions reductions, credit volume, revenue, price, payment, crediting period or lifetime value is provisional unless expressly confirmed in a signed agreement after the relevant assessment.
Estimates may rely on assumptions, models, deemed values, sample data or information supplied by participants and may change as evidence, rules, market conditions or independent findings develop.
Carbon rights, consent and authority
Delivering or funding an installation does not automatically establish ownership of the associated carbon or environmental rights.
Participants are responsible for accurately disclosing contracts, funding conditions, certificates, customer arrangements, previous transfers and other facts relevant to authority and ownership. Additional property-owner or customer consent may be required.
No double counting or duplicate claims
The same emissions reduction or environmental attribute must not be issued, claimed, transferred or sold more than once.
Participants must disclose previous or parallel submissions, renewable or energy-efficiency certificates, carbon programmes, environmental claims, grants or contractual arrangements that may affect eligibility or ownership.
Independent parties and external processes
Programme administrators, methodology providers, assurance bodies, registries, buyers, offtakers, payment providers and other third parties operate independently and may apply their own rules, timelines, due diligence and contractual requirements.
GPM cannot guarantee their decisions, availability, processing times or continued participation.
Carbon market and pricing risk
Carbon credit prices are not fixed. Value may rise or fall and may differ by methodology, project type, evidence quality, traceability, vintage, volume, buyer requirements, transaction structure and market conditions.
GPM may seek competitive commercial routes but does not guarantee the best price, any minimum price, a buyer, an offtaker or a sale date.
Payments and recurring income
References to additional or recurring income describe a potential commercial outcome, not a guaranteed or passive entitlement.
Payment generally depends on the relevant installations remaining eligible, required evidence being accepted, credits being issued and sold, buyer payment being received, and the conditions of the participation agreement being satisfied.
Payment amounts and timing may be affected by fees, deductions, taxes, corrections, reversals, withholding, programme costs, transaction costs and contractual terms.
Environmental and social outcomes
Retrofit measures can support lower emissions, reduced energy demand, improved comfort and better-performing homes. The actual result for a particular property depends on installation quality, building condition, occupancy, user behaviour, weather, energy supply and other factors.
Statements about wider environmental or social value are not a promise that every installation will produce the same outcome. Carbon credit use and claims by a buyer remain subject to the relevant standards, disclosures and the buyer’s own responsibilities.
Carbon claims and buyer use
The existence or purchase of a carbon credit does not automatically make an organisation, product, service or activity carbon neutral, net zero or environmentally preferable.
Carbon credits should be used in addition to, and not as a substitute for, credible action to reduce emissions within an organisation’s own operations and value chain.
Buyers and participants are responsible for making accurate, appropriately qualified claims consistent with applicable law, standards and guidance.
Changes to rules and availability
Methodologies, standards, registry rules, law, tax treatment, accounting treatment, market practice, buyer requirements and programme availability may change. A route available today may be modified, suspended or withdrawn in the future.

Separate agreements control
If you enter into a signed participation, service, offtake or other commercial agreement with GPM, that agreement governs the relevant relationship. If there is a conflict between general website information and the signed agreement, the signed agreement takes priority.
